THE HAYSHED
The Hayshed is a skilful reconstruction (retaining the original stone walls) of a former agricultural store into a comfortable modern cottage. The former hay-loading aperture in the gable end has been converted into three windows, for the twin bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
The Hayshed sleeps 4 and is ideal for couples or small families. A dog companion is welcome, by prior arrangement at time of booking.
The front door opens south onto the old farm courtyard, now a landscaped garden. The main entrance to the Cottage is up a set of steps from the parking area at the rear to a raised patio. Patio doors lead to the ground-floor living area. The lounge/dining area is separated from the kitchen by an open-tread spiral staircase. This leads up to a central landing with doors leading off to either side giving access to the twin and double bedrooms.
Downstairs the dining area has a circular glass-topped table with four chairs while the lounge area has comfortable seating for four people, a coffee table and TV with DVD player and "freeview" box.
The ground-floor bathroom has a full-size bath with fitted 'instant' shower, WC and washhandbasin, extractor fan, heated towel-rail, wall-mounted fan heater, mirror and shaver light.
